This problem does not happen on every computer, which makes it difficult for me to fix the bug.  I'm still working on the fix, but in the mean time, you can get around this by typing the following keywords into Keybreeze:

restart, shut down, log off, hibernate, stand by

Typing any of these into Keybreeze will safely initiate the command and exit the program.  This solution is a work-around, but I am still trying to fix the main issue.  If anyone has any thoughts on what triggers this to happen, please share.

Thanks,

Andrew

Ever since "my" Windows Update installed XP Service Pack 3 I have experienced this minor problem and had all sorts of problems with other programs.

I've had this issue with my XP sp2 system (Nope not going to install Sp3-too many "issues" on internet) from day one. I have always used the work around suggested by Andrew. Not a big deal. It only becomes a problem when I - like now - would like to use a third-party application to shut down my system or my monitors after a specified amount of time. I hesitate to even try them.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHT: you said elsewhere that typing "shut down" or "hibernate" etc will solve the issue but it doesn't seem to.   What MIGHT WORK could be a macro that makes Keybreeze shut down the system and EXIT Keybreeze simultaneously.  (just an idea !) But I don't think I would be capable of writing it.
