The one thing I really miss from my recent Slickrun converstion to Keybreeze is a global-hotkey notepad. I'm not a big fan of multiple notes, note reminders, and all the bells and whistles usually associated with most note software. A single, simple bucket to capture a thought quickly is usually more than enough for me.
Personally, I would love to see a way to set a 'default' note that could be shown and hidden with a hotkey to use for a scratchpad/jotter (AND have it focus on the note with the cursor auto-positioned to Home). This would let people who want multiple notes to keep using them as they are now but make us jot-type junkies happy as well.
Maybe I'm missing something stupid simple here but, as the notes feature stands right now, I can't seem to reproduce the simplicity of the Slickrun jotter in Keybreeze. If I keep a note in locked mode it will pop each time the ; key is hit but then I have to 'unlock' it, and position the cursor, type my thought and lock it again. If I leave the note in edit mode it disappears when the escape key is hit and I must use the 'show hidden' command to pop it up, and even then I have to select the note and position the cursor.
Hope that makes sense. Anyway, that's #1 on my personal wish list. (Any advice on how to replicate this Slickrun ability would be welcome.)
By the way... kudos on a killer app. I've been seriously looking for a Slickrun replacement for weeks now and I tried them all. FARR, Launchy, Executor, etc. With the Macros, Multi-Launch and, especially, the Text Function, it only took me a couple days to drop the hammer and spring for the Pro version.
Keep up the good work!
