Keybreeze 2.1

This version marks the release of a new license.  Keybreeze is now free for personal and non-commercial use.  There is no longer a Basic and Pro version.

New Features

  • New skins were added.

You can view the screenshots here, and you can select the new skins by choosing any of the Modern or Vessel skins in the Options window (type options as a keyword).

  • - remove formatting preset keyword

This will remove all formatting of text that is copied to the clipboard.  For example, if you copy text from a web page into Microsoft Word, you will notice that Microsoft Word retains the formatting of the text.  This can be very annoying if you do not want to keep the formatting.  Type this keyword into Keybreeze before you paste the text, and the formatting will be removed.

  • The tips window now shows recently added keywords.

  • You can add parameters to the target of a keyword from the textbox.

Press the hotkey and type the keyword as you normally would. When the keyword you want is selected,
type a comma, and then type the parameters that you want.  The parameters will be temporarily placed after file.

  • You can now press the TAB key at any time to search your computer for files and folders matching your entry.

Example: press the hotkey, type a few letters of a document you want to find, and press TAB.

  • You can now make a QuickTab combination to insert a semicolon.

For example, (Hotkey + Space bar) could be programmed to insert a semicolon.  You can change QuickTab settings by typing options as a keyword.

  • The file search utility was improved for easier accessibility.

  • The tutorial was revised.

Bug Fixes

  • Selecting a custom designed skin did not work correctly after closing the Options window.

  • After using the standby or hibernate command, The Keybreeze Options window would not work properly.

  • The tips window now remains focused when you load Keybreeze.

  • Type quotation marks in a note and closing/opening Keybreeze would result in double quotation marks.

  • Pressing Shift in the toolbar would cause keywords already in the command list to be added to the
    autocomplete list

Keybreeze 1.0

Keybreeze has several features that have been added since PC-Com. First, the program is a lot more user-friendly. It contains a few extra prompts that pop up while you are using the program so you can learn about all of the features. Don't worry, these prompts aren't that annoying, and you can disable them if you don't like seeing them. The program also runs smoother and has several bug fixes. You can see a list of changes below.

- Pressing Shift when the popup list is displayed will do two things:
it will search the entire Command List for any instance of your entry.
it will pop up a feature summary window (basically everything you can type into Keybreeze)
- new Add Entry wizard - appears when you type "add" as a keyword or when you press the Add button
  in the Command List.
- notes can now be resized by dragging the edges
- new snooze feature for a note
- new preset keyword: feature summary
- new preset keyword: show hidden notes
- new preset keyword: view reminders
- targets for keywords are no longer converted to lower case
(some URLs are case sensitive with upper case letters)
- faster, smoother, and more stability.
